Most Luxurious Perfumes To Gift
Noor Eau de Parfum
Cult Gaia
Hero notes...
Black pepper, French rose and Lavender.
This is perhaps the most unique scent I own. It screams sophistication. Noor Eau de Parfum opens up with smoky black pepper with a hint of floral notes from french rose. As the fragrance dries down, you get an inviting waft of lavender. When the bottle is placed on my dresser it looks like a piece of art. The curved bottle and marble topped lid will wow anyone you hand this to as a gift.
Miss Dior Eau de Parfum
Dior
Notes...
Peony, Rose, Vanilla, Musk and Sandalwood
This is a true floral perfume. It is composed like a bouquet of flowers with peonies and creamy, lush, velvety Rose. Miss Dior is the scent that carries me from day to night. On the dry down, there is a surprising hint of musk.
Top - Lavender Essence, Raspberry Accord Heart - Vanilla Infusion, Vanilla Caviar, Vanilla Absolute Base - Suede Leather Accord
If vanilla is your weakness, Burberry Goddess Eau de Parfum is the one to beat. This isn’t your typical sugary-sweet vanilla - it’s layered, luxurious, has an unexpected raspberry twist and is unapologetically sophisticated. The scent opens with a smooth, almost creamy vanilla bean, then deepens into richer notes that feel warm and sensual without ever tipping into cloying territory. If you're looking for a seasonal scent upgrade - look no further than this must-have fragrance.
One spritz of Born in Roma Donna, and you will be transported to Rome. This floral yet ambery scent has become a perfect spring day-time purfume. Sambac Jasmine is a fresh opening scent and after being blended with Vanilla Bourbon, you are enveloped with a luxurious fragrance with woody notes and cashmeran accords. Simply, divine!
Cinnamon, damask rose, hibiscus, leather, vanilla and ambrette musk.
I've tested a lot of purfume's during my time as a beauty writer, but this is one of the most long-lasting fragrances ever. It also smells divine and has such a unique scent. With each spritz, you are engulfed by the hibiscus flower as a blossoming heart note, surrounded by ruby red rose, crushed pomegranate and the warming feel of vanilla and amber. If you want to feel luxurious, this is the perfect buy.
Retrospect Extrait de Parfum
Merit
Notes...
Musk, vanilla and moss.
This is a true long lasting scent. An extrait de parfum is nearly 30 percent fragrance oil that melts into the skin for over 12 hour wear. Retrospect is a rich fragrance that opens with soft notes of floral and settles with warm moss for a second-skin finish.
Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady is unique
Portrait of a Lady Eau de Parfum
Frédéric Malle
Hero notes...
Turkish rose, sandalwood and patchouli.
There's a reason why Frédéric Malle's 'Portrait of a Lady' has amassed a cult following. Mature, compliment-inducing and bold, it layers mystical, velvety rose over a woody base, with a fruity depth.
Italian bergamot, pink pepper, Turkish rose and natural Egyptian jasmine.
Initio adopts is a very unique scent. Mysterious, but inviting impulse-awakening aromas. With each spritz you get a thrilling concoction that leaves you wanting more. The seductive, spicy yet floral scent is the perfect complement to a sultry date-night look.
Good Girl Eau de Parfum
Carolina Herrera
Hero notes...
Jasmine, cocoa, almond, tonka bean and coffee.
Carolina Herrera are known for their divine high heel perfumes and Good Girl is no exception. Both sweet and alluring, this scent is designed as an empowering everyday spritz for the bold and unapologetic.
Catch Me If I Fall
La Pyae Apothecary
Hero notes...
Bergamot zest, Jasmine sambac and Sandalwood
If you're searching for a sophisticated fragrance that evokes feelings of joy and self-love, look no further than La Pyae's Eau de Parfum. The Catch Me If I Fall fragrance opens with Bergamot zest and Cardamom pods whilst Jasmine and Iris sit at the centre. As the fragrance dries down, you are engulfed with a warm hug filled with sandalwood and white musk.
Misia Eau de Parfum
Chanel
Hero notes...
Violet, iris pallida, and tonka bean.
Part of Chanel's Les Exclusifs line, 'Misia' is a total joy for iris obsessives. Inspired by the heady anticipation of opera dressing rooms, the scent is powdery, fizzy and a signifier of imminent excitement. It's giving palatial parma violet.
Allegra Magnifying Myrrh Eau De Parfum
Bvlgari
Hero notes...
Leather, vanilla and amber.
An unexpected favourite, the amber in Bvlgari's 'Magnifying Myrrh' has a lovely resin-like quality to it. Aromatic and soft, it floods the skin with warmth and this scent never fails to elicit a compliment.
Celestial Patchouli Eau de Parfum
Sana Jardin
Hero notes...
Patchouli, rose, cinnamon bark.
An outlier in the fragrance world, vegan independent perfume house Sana Jardin is the proud creator of some extraordinary luxury scents. A discovery set would no doubt go down a treat with any beauty fanatic, but this is the fragrance I constantly come back to, featuring hypnotic patchouli layered over come-to-bed rose.
L'Ombre dans l'Eau Eau de Toilette
Diptyque
Hero notes...
Rose, blackcurrant and petitgrain.
Diptyque's 'L'Ombre dans l'Eau' has strong summer associations, but I have no qualms about wearing it all year round. The tartness of the blackcurrant alongside the plush, dense rose feels romantic and in Toilette form it has a certain easy-breezy levity.
Rose 31 Eau de Parfum
Le Labo
Hero notes...
Rose, cumin, cedar.
The intention behind 'Rose 31' was to transform the traditionally feminine Grasse rose into something more "virile", but for me, its prettiness is its superpower. Creamy, spa-like and with a lathery appeal, I love the inclusion of non-disruptive spices that run through the base.
Poets of Berlin Eau de Parfum
Vilhelm Parfumerie
Hero notes...
Vetiver, lemon, blueberry and vanilla.
Comforting and creamy, Vilhelm Parfumerie's 'Poets of Berlin' is directly inspired by David Bowie's Berlin Trilogy. Call me musically challenged, but I've never listened to them, and I lapped up the scent all the same. The lemon is completely devoid of sharpness and the vanilla feels flat and purry rather than sickly sweet. Obsessed.
Pleine Lune Eau de Parfum
Bastille
Hero notes...
Green tea, tuberose and tonka bean.
Herby and fresh, Bastille's 'Pleine Lune' combines green tea with jasmine, the standout tuberose and a hint of pink pepper to form a pleasantly sexy daytime fragrance.
This joyful fragrance is probably the most unique scent going. It opens with Sparkling Champagne and silky White Freesia, while Pink Praline, Lush Nectarine dominates the heart of this romantic fragrance. The sweetness of Sugared Musk and the creamy Sandalwood perfectly round out this dazzling scent as a toast to the celebration of love.
