William and Kate upset locals

Security measures put in place ahead of Prince William and Kate's move into their new home, Forest Lodge, have upset locals in Windsor.

Perimeter fencing, landscaping and CCTV have all been installed around the property, but it's also resulted in the closure of a car park and gate access to some of Windsor Great Park.

The area covers around 150 acres and has a 2.3-mile perimeter which is set to be signposted warning people not to enter. Trespassers on the land will face arrest under the Home Office plans.

King and Queen reappear after Prince Harry's furious statement

King Charles has emerged two days after Prince Harry released a statement strenuously denying the meaning and 'tone' behind his recent one-hour private meeting with his father. The Duke of Sussex poured cold water on reports suggesting the meeting was formal and in the name of 'PR'. A spokesperson for the brother of Prince William said in part: "Recent reporting of The Duke's view of the tone of the meeting is categorically false."

"For the sake of clarity, we can confirm that a framed photograph was handed over, however, the image did not contain the Duke and Duchess."

On Sunday, the monarch, who has not responded publicly to Harry's statement, was joined by his wife, Queen Camilla, to attend a church service at Crathie Kirk in Balmoral, the church where Princess Anne married Sir Timothy Laurence. The King and Queen were seen dressed in formal wear and arriving to the church in a Range Rover vehicle.

Princess Kate's confidence-boosting suit

The Princess of Wales is no stranger to adding a pop of colour to her royal wardrobe, particularly in the spring and summer months. However, come autumn, Kate does indulge in some colour bursts, and it more than brightens up a chilly day. We couldn't help but marvel at the vivid purple suit the future Queen chose on this day four years ago while visiting the Ulster University Magee Campus in Northern Ireland. With the polished look, she proved she can master any sartorial decision. More on Kate's bold and colourful wardrobe.

Belgian Palace responds to 'historic' romance

After a photo began circulating that Belgian Crown Princess Elisabeth may be linked to Prince Georg of Liechtenstein, the palace has responded. A spokesperson for the Belgian Royal Palace in Brussels told reporters, "We saw the photo too. We don't know if it's real or AI. We aren't commenting [on private matters]."

While there is no confirmation, the romance, if true, would mark the first royal pairing between heirs of two reigning houses in nearly half a century. Belgian royal journalist, Wim Dehandschutter, told HELLO! that the royal pairing would naturally make sense: "Elisabeth and Georg, it would certainly be a wonderful royal match. Royal families are close in general, and Belgians and Liechtensteiners know each other well." Read the full story.

Australian PM pushes for Prince William and Princess Kate royal tour after issuing invite

Australia's Prime Minister is "hopeful" that the Prince and Princess of Wales will travel Down Under in the "coming period" as he confirmed that there is always a "standing invitation" for the British royal family. Anthony Albanese spoke to journalists after meeting with the King at Balmoral Castle on Saturday.

Following his 90-minute audience with Charles at his Scottish home, the Prime Minister was asked by the media if there were plans for Prince William and Kate to tour Australia. Mr Albanese said: "I'm certainly hoping there will be one, there's a standing invitation that the royal family are always welcome in Australia. It was wonderful to welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla to Australia recently, that had a very successful visit and His Majesty is very engaged and I hope that the Prince and Princess of Wales are able to visit as well and we are hopeful that might occur in the coming period."

The Duke of Edinburgh's visit to Stockton and Darlington Railway

In case you missed it, the Duke of Edinburgh made a visit to Stockton and Darlington Railway last week. On Monday, the Royal Family Instagram account shared some snaps from his trip.

They captioned the post: "Celebrating 200 years of the Stockton and Darlington Railway!

"Last week, The Duke of Edinburgh visited County Durham to mark the 200th anniversary of the first public passenger train journey. This trip of 26 miles led to the birth of the modern railway as we know it today.

"The first public journey on the S&DR took place on 27 September 1825 from Shildon to Stockton, via Darlington. The locomotive ‘Locomotion No. 1’ pulled several waggons of coal and goods, and a carriage called Experiment carrying the world’s first fare-paying passengers to take a journey driven by a steam locomotive.

"During the visit, His Royal Highness travelled onboard a replica of Locomotion 1 alongside Sir Tim Laurence in his role as Chair of the Science Museum Group, toured museum exhibitions celebrating the rail industry and met locals involved with the railway."

King Charles visits exhibition at the Garrison Chapel

On Monday, King Charles, the Royal Founding President of The King's Foundation, visited the Garrison Chapel to see a new exhibition, 'Marie of Romania, Artist Queen'.

The Garrison Chapel regularly hosts exhibitions of work created by students and graduates of The King's Foundation, as well as exhibitions and events of wider cultural interest.

The Romanian Cultural Institute in London is hosting this major exhibition of watercolours by Queen Marie of Romania, many of which have never been seen in public before. British-born Queen Marie (1875-1938) was an artist, writer and stateswoman. The watercolours form part of two manuscripts held by the Romanian Academy, depicting native flowers of Romania.
